Information for students:
There will be no additional cost for your appointments at MIT Medical and all STI tests performed in the MIT Medical laboratory are fully covered as part of your tuition. Most STI testing can be performed by the MIT Medical Laboratory. If you need a test that cannot be processed in the MIT Medical Laboratory, your insurance will be billed accordingly.
Will my testing and treatment be kept private?
Information about STI testing and treatment is confidential in Massachusetts even if you are a minor. We won’t share information about your medical care with parents or other family members unless you tell us to.
Note: In rare situations where we need to send your test outside of MIT Medical and there is a bill, that invoice will be sent to the address that is on file with your insurance company. If that address is your home address, your parents or guardians may see the bill.
