Four early mornings this December found the lobby of MIT’s Z-Center abuzz with activity as MedLinks volunteers came together to assemble hundreds of snack bags for students on their way to final exams.
Indeed, this year’s clinic lived up to its reputation as one of the most efficient operations at MIT, giving an average of one shot every 4.8 seconds with wait times rarely exceeding 10 minutes, even at peak hours.
The weather forecast for Commencement Day remained uncertain until the last possible moment. But as MIT’s Class of 2017 received their degrees on June 9, MIT Medical staffers and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) from the student-run MIT Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were on hand and prepared for whatever the day might bring.
Registration is now open for getfit 2017, a 12-week, team-oriented fitness challenge open to the entire MIT community, including students, faculty, staff, affiliates, and family members.
