MIT Medical’s first campus flu clinic of 2016, held in Walker Memorial on Oct. 5, lived up to its reputation as one of the most efficient operations at the Institute, administering 4,873 vaccines in six hours—or, for the statistically inclined among us, an average of one shot every 4.4326 seconds.
While the crowd in Killian Court buzzed with anticipation for commencement, the crew from MIT Medical was stationed at their customary spot in the northeast corner of Killian Court.
Alan Siegel, chief of MIT Medical’s Mental Health and Counseling Service, will retire from his position after nearly 15 years of dedication to the MIT community.
