Getting care on campus
The MIT Student Medical Plan, included with tuition, provides access to most services at MIT Medical with no copay and no additional charge. This includes:
- Primary care
- Specialty care
- Urgent care
- Student Mental Health & Counseling Services
- Basic x-rays and some laboratory testing
Prescriptions and services outside of MIT Medical are not covered by the MIT Student Medical Plan. For coverage outside MIT Medical, including prescriptions, you will need the MIT Student Extended Insurance Plan or, if you’ve waived the Extended Plan, your other comprehensive insurance plan.
