Registered Nurse, Occupational Medicine
OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE REGISTERED NURSE, MIT Medical, to assist in the evaluation and execution of medical environmental, health, and safety programs (EHS) and activities. Will support--in conjunction with MIT Environment, Health and Safety--the building and development of EHS programs that provide industry leading support to all facets of the Institute, including site research laboratories, classrooms, and employee work areas; continually improve and enhance EHS culture and training programs in response to a changing business and regulatory environment; and collaborate with key stakeholders across the Institute by participating on the Incident Response Team and supporting business continuity and risk management activities. Responsibilities also include performing duties associated with employee health services, including pre-employment screening, annual health assessments, immunizations, work related exposures, illnesses and injuries, and filing claims for workers compensation. Coordination with the Workers Compensation Office will also involve providing medical care for MIT employees with actual or potential work-related medical health concerns.
REQUIRED: graduation from an accredited nursing program; current RN license in Massachusetts; CPR certification; at least three years’ experience as a registered nurse in occupational medicine; and fluency with EMR systems, preferably Cerner. Job #18990-9
