Registered Nurse - Lexington Site
REGISTERED NURSE, MIT Medical-Lexington Site, to provide nursing care to MIT’s family medicine population at MIT’s Lexington site. The patient population is comprised of MIT employees and their families. Will play a clinical leadership role in assuring that the day-to-day care of patients occurs through the building of relationships among a team made up of RN, medical assistant, front desk, and provider, all with a focus on making each patient feel as though s/he is the most important patient of that day. Will monitor providers’ needs for patient care throughout the system and ensure that any significant changes in a patient’s status are noted appropriately; perform independent physical assessments of patients and administer treatment within scope of practice; assist medical assistants and front desk needs in meeting daily expectations; ensure all communication meets the needs of the patient and the team; and provide health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals or services at MIT Medical.
MIT Medical is a full ambulatory care organization containing family medicine, adult primary care, family urgent care, pediatrics, OBGYN, dental, eye, lab, radiology, and other services.
REQUIRED: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; current RN license in Massachusetts; BLS certification; at least three years of experience as a registered nurse in family practice, ambulatory, or similar setting; pediatric experience; and fluency with EMR systems. BSN preferred. Allergy immunotherapy and anticoagulation management experience a plus. Job #16455
