PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, MIT Medical, to assist the pharmacists in processing prescriptions and interdepartmental orders, cashing out customers at the register, and answering the telephone in a manner that strictly follows MIT pharmacy telephone etiquette. Will serve as the liaison between the MIT Pharmacy and its customers by distributing medications, acting as cashier, and assisting the pharmacist by navigating customers to the consultation window.
REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent, registration as pharmacy technician and PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) and state registration with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy, superior customer service skills, flexibility, team-orientation, and ability to identify and troubleshoot problematic issues. All CEU's must be current and registration must be in good standing. One year of pharmacy experience and the ability to work with various computer systems for retrieving information and processing sales are preferred. College training in biological sciences also preferred. Job #16821-4
Will work using a pre-established monthly rotation shift. The hours will be within Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. timeframe, with one Sunday per month for four hours.
