OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE CLINICAL ASSISTANT, MIT Medical, to be responsible for the service area’s day-to-day medical assistant and administrative operational tasks. Will act as the medical assistant for all providers within the service area; provide administrative support for the Occupational Health and Environmental Medicine team; prioritize, sequence, and execute administrative tasks, including composing correspondence in the voices of the principals, editing reports and news items, drafting department-wide communications, assembling complex data for the principals to present in the form of tables/charts/PowerPoint; enter data for all Occupational Health and Environmental Medicine interactions into appropriate databases/systems within established timeframes; organize meeting logistics and act as a support and resource, including attending and taking minutes; coordinate and arrange travel, events, and special projects; and support the projects of clinicians, including meeting and calendar coordination.
REQUIRED: High school diploma or its equivalent; graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or medical assistant certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA); two years of experience; ability to coach and develop others; proven leadership skills that engage others, foster teamwork, and pro-actively take on challenges; excellent analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills; sound judgment and problem-solving ability; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to maintain CPR certification and participate in site-based CPR drills; and ability to prioritize and see tasks through to completion in a complex and busy environment.
PREFERRED: National medical assistant certificate; associate’s degree or higher in health care, communications, business, or relevant field; and administrative experience in occupational medicine/health. Job #21307-6
