Kate McCarthy, M.A., is the Program Director of Violence Prevention & Response (VPR) at MIT, which addresses sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, stalking, and sexual harassment in the MIT community. Kate is a certified rape crisis counselor and victim advocate. She believes this role helps drives the work of VPR throughout the community.
