Will my child continue to have the same primary care provider?
Yes. Your child’s PCP will not change.
Is MIT Medical getting rid of pediatric care?
No. By uniting our pediatric providers and family medicine specialists under one service, MIT Medical is expanding access to care for your child, allowing more flexible appointment scheduling, and creating better-equipped facilities and easier access to providers with specialties in areas like sports medicine and orthopedics.
Has the phone number changed?
If my child needs care right away, will I be able to make a same-day appointment?
Most likely. Your child will now have access to all of MIT Medical’s family medicine providers — so they can be seen, even when your pediatrician isn’t available.
Who do I contact if I have questions about my child’s care?
Your PCP — just as you always have done. If you have a question about your child’s care, you’re always able to give us a call or send a message to your provider through our patient portal, HealthELife.
Are the second-floor spaces child-friendly?
Yes. Both the second-floor waiting room and the exam rooms are child-friendly. Stroller parking is also available in the second floor waiting room. In the coming months, we’ll be making even more improvements to make these spaces comfortable and welcoming to our youngest patients.
