Open your mind and manage your stress! Koru is a four-week introduction to the practice of Mindfulness. Koru has been proven to help participants decrease stress and self-judgment while increasing mindfulness and quality of sleep. Mindfulness is about developing the ability to be fully attentive to all the moments of your life, reducing the amount of time you spend worrying about the future or fretting about the past. You will learn multiple skills including, meditation, breathing exercises, guided imagery, the body scan and more. Each of these skills is designed to help you manage stress and enrich your life.
Attendance at all four classes is required. There will be 10 minutes of mindfulness practice per day required. Led by Ashley Norwood. Open to students of the MIT community.
