Support Groups

Find strength in numbers through a Community Wellness support or health-coaching group, learn about group-counseling options through MIT Health’s Student Mental Health and Counseling Service, or talk to your mental health dorm liaison.

Group health-coaching workshops and classes

Group health-coaching workshops and classes are available on an ongoing basis. With a health-coaching class, you can benefit from support and accountability as you work on health-behavior changes with a group of people who have similar goals. You can even sign up with a friend. View schedule and registration information.

Group counseling for MIT students

MIT Health’s Student Mental Health & Counseling Services offers a variety of support, discussion, and skill-based groups for MIT Students. To learn more about any group, contact the group leader(s).

MIT Spouses & Partners Connect

Did you come to MIT with your husband, wife, or significant other? This group organizes activities that help you make friends, learn a new language, and get information about living, working, and parenting in Boston.

MIT Parent Support Group

Join other parents in the MIT community to meet and discuss the enormous changes being a parent brings. Find support and community on such issues as feeding/breastfeeding/pumping, sleep, postpartum challenges, physical changes, exhaustion and new identity/roles. This group mainly focuses on the birth parent’s transitions and support, but spouses/partners are welcome to attend. The group is facilitated by a parenting educator and breastfeeding counselor.
